Los Angeles, CA, May 5, 23, 2015 – Reprints Desk, Inc., a Research Solutions (OTCQB: RSSS) company and pioneer in providing on-demand access to scientific, technical and medical (STM) content, today announced a new preferred purchasing agreement with the Association of Southeastern Research Libraries (ASERL).
ASERL is a consortium of 38 research libraries located across 11 southeastern states. Founded in 1956, ASERL has a long history of developing innovative and collaborative programs to address the continually changing needs of its member libraries.
“ASERL library users expect quick and easy access to content anytime, anywhere,” commented John Burger, ASERL’s Executive Director. “This partnership with Reprints Desk allows our members to respond accurately, cost-effectively, and in real time to requests for scholarly articles that are generally not available via journal subscriptions or interlibrary loan.”
In the special consortium arrangement, specially-priced document delivery services are available to all participating ASERL member libraries via Article Galaxy™, Reprints Desk’s online portal that comprises content from more than 40,000 journals, and book chapters from hundreds of thousands of titles. The discounts provided by the Reprints Desk program encompass publisher-negotiated copyright royalty rates, as well as deep discounts on service fees and rapid delivery of high-quality, native PDFs.
Article Galaxy™ facilitates price-by-article lookups, supports browsing a growing list of participating publishers, presents an easy ordering process with 100% PDF delivery, and provides 24/7 service and support. Participating publishers include Elsevier, John Wiley & Sons, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Springer Verlag, Nature Publishing Group, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and dozens more. Securing these articles via Article galaxy is done via a seamless integration into workflows and popular ILL tools such as ILLiad and RapidILL.
ASERL members share more than 200,000 items annually through their resource sharing network. Reprints Desk’s services help organizations like ASERL provide greater value to their members and help to ensure their budgets are used effectively.
