Research Solutions is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continuously improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards across our digital products and services.
This statement applies to our products Article Galaxy, References and Article Galaxy Scholar.
Conformance Status
Article Galaxy, References and Article Galaxy Scholar are designed to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and are substantially conformant based on ongoing internal evaluation and automated testing. We continuously monitor and improve accessibility and address any identified issues as part of our development lifecycle.
These products are developed to meet the technical requirements referenced in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II final rule (2024), which adopts WCAG 2.1 Level AA as its technical standard. Organizations subject to ADA Title II — including state agencies, universities, and public institutions — can safely use and recommend our products within their accessible digital workflows.
This statement applies to the web-based user interfaces of Article Galaxy, References and Article Galaxy Scholar, including authenticated and public-facing pages available via reprintsdesk.com.
It does not cover third-party content or integrations outside the control of Research Solutions.

Our Accessibility Measures
Research Solutions takes the following measures to ensure and maintain accessibility:
- Accessibility is an explicit part of our product quality standards.
- We assign clear accessibility goals and internal ownership across engineering and design teams.
- All new features are reviewed against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria before release.
- We use automated monitoring tools, including UserWay, to help identify potential accessibility issues and support ongoing improvements.
- We run accessibility scans using internal tooling across core user flows on every deployment.
- We incorporate user feedback on accessibility barriers and respond promptly.
- We are committed to continuous accessibility improvement through integrated development practices, regular testing, and timely remediation of identified issues.
Assessment Approach
Research Solutions evaluates the accessibility of Article Galaxy, References and Article Galaxy Scholar through the following methods:
- Automated scanning — UserWay continuous monitoring scans across all public pages.
- Internal tooling — Automated accessibility checks integrated into our development process, run against WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
- Self-evaluation — Engineering and QA review of new features against WCAG 2.2 success criteria.
- User feedback — Ongoing evaluation of accessibility reports submitted through our feedback channel.

Accessibility of Article Galaxy, References and Article Galaxy Scholar relies on the following technologies in combination with your browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed:

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards described in this statement. Research Solutions is tested with modern browsers and is compatible with common assistive technologies including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
