If you’re an Article Galaxy user, you’ve likely noticed some big changes recently. And we hope you like what you see!

After working hard behind the scenes on a major platform upgrade, we began moving existing customers to the new Article Galaxy 3.0 in August 2021. In this post, we’ll explain why we made changes, what those changes are, and how you can make the most of the newly upgraded platform.

What’s new?

A major platform upgrade, Article Galaxy 3.0 offers a cleaner, more user-friendly environment that simplifies and more directly connects users to the papers they want—reducing clicks and adding functionality.

For example, customers already use Article Galaxy to get scholarly articles at the lowest possible cost. Article Galaxy 3.0 enhances this capability by presenting pricing and availability up front and at the article level. The article view has also been upgraded to include additional details, useful information, and relevant tools that go beyond a static PDF view. Other enhancements include:

  • Redesigned homepage that’s more intuitive and easy-to-use
  • Improved search functionality across the entire system
  • Enhanced order history with instant access to previously purchased articles
  • User-friendly PDF Library with standardized citation formats
  • Built-in Article Galaxy PDF Reader

Why the change?

When customers come to Article Galaxy, it’s for our platform’s ability to accelerate and simplify scholarly literature search, access, and management—and ultimately, for the time and cost savings they can achieve.

But we’re not the type to rest on our laurels, and we knew that we could make things even easier. In planning this upgrade, we focused on what matters most to our customers: the discovery, acquisition, and management of scientific literature.
