    A document is defined as any published material or portion thereof that a client requests as a single piece of information. Some examples of documents we retrieve are journal articles, book chapters, conference proceedings, newspaper articles and tables of contents.

    No! Simply send us your requests using any of the methods we provide and we’ll automatically set up an account for you.

    Our Regular service costs $15 plus copyright fees and our ASAP service costs $25 plus copyright fees. Visit our pricing page for details.

    Yes! We offer a high-volume discount up to 30% for our clients who order 100 or more documents per month. We also offer a reduced price for large projects or bulk orders. Visit our pricing page for details.

    What’s included in the pricing for your service?

    The following services are included with our fees:

    1. Incorrect or incomplete citation correction.
    2. When using our Regular service, you can cancel your order within 24-hours of placement.
    3. No extra copying fees for documents 30 pages in length or less.
    4. We’ll deliver the order using your preferred method (email, USPS, Fed-Ex, fax & special delivery).
    5. We’ll provide detailed information regarding a document’s location if it’s held at a facility we don’t have access to.
    6. An email confirming the specifics of your order shortly after we receive your requests.

    DocTrac is an online portal where our clients can place an order, track the status of their requests in real-time, view their order history and create reports. This is a free service for all of our clients.

    How do I know my order has been received?

    You’ll receive a confirmation email. This will show the ID number that’s been assigned to each of your requests and the corresponding citation information. Please review this email to ensure that we’ve received the correct information.

    DocTrac allows you to monitor, in real-time, the status of your order online. Also, our staff is always available by phone and email during business hours.

    Can I modify or cancel an order after it's been placed?

    Yes, you can modify or cancel a Regular order you’ve placed within 24-hours. Simply contact us through email or over the phone with the changes you’d like to make. However, ASAP orders cannot be modified or canceled.

  • How long will it take for me to receive my order?

    How long will it take for me to receive my order?

    If you're using our regular service, you'll receive your requests in 48-hours or less. However, if you're using our ASAP service, you'll receive your requests in 24-hours or less. We are most often able to deliver same-day service on ASAP requests regardless of when your request was placed.

  • How will my order be delivered?

    We offer you a choice among several methods for delivery of your order, including fax, USPS, Fed-Ex & special delivery. Typically, we deliver your document electronically.

  • Do I need special software or a plug-in to view the document?

    Do I need special software or a plug-in to view the document?

    Our DRM (Digital Rights Management) viewer uses Adobe Flash 10, which 98% of internet enabled PC's have installed (Millward Brown survey, conducted March 2011). If you are having trouble with our proprietary DRM viewer, please contact us immediately so that we can fax the document to your attention.

  • Will I be charged for an order that cannot be located or delivered?

    Will I be charged for an order that cannot be located or delivered?

    No! You will not be charged for any requests that cannot be filled, regardless of the reason.

  • Can you retrieve patents?

    Yes, we can get both foreign and domestic patents.

  • Can you deliver color documents?

    Can you deliver color documents?

    Yes, we can provide color copies of your requests when available. This is an added service that costs $2 per page.

  • Can you retrieve documents in foreign languages?

    Can you retrieve documents in foreign languages?

    Yes, we can! We do not, however, offer a translation service.

    What's the oldest document you’ve retrieved?

    We've retrieved a ship manifest on microfilm from a vessel that crossed the Atlantic ocean to America in 1799.
