This update improves efficiency by allowing admins to quickly access publisher websites or PubMed citations directly from the queue, reducing delays in obtaining PDFs. Faster access to source materials enables quicker fulfillment of user requests, enhancing the overall research experience.
By centralizing access within the Client Admin UI, the need for manual searches is eliminated, streamlining workflows and making the order management process more efficient. Plus, if a DOI or PubMed ID is unavailable, the system clearly indicates this with a "No Link Available" message to ensure transparency.
Instant Content Retrieval Through Quick Download Functionality For Rented Articles
Our new Quick Download functionality for article rentals allows researchers to immediately access rented content across Article Galaxy (AG), Article Galaxy References (AGR), and Guest Checkout.

Enhanced My Orders Interface For Better Order Tracking
Article Galaxy’s My Orders interface has been updated to provide researchers with a clearer and more intuitive way to manage order history.
The previous filters—All, Pending, and Not Yet Downloaded—have been replaced with Completed, In Progress, and Cancelled to better align with typical order workflows and simplify tracking.
These improvements help researchers quickly monitor order statuses, reduce confusion, and save time when managing their research requests.
Reduced Quick Download Timer To Speed Up Access To Content
The Quick Download timer has been reduced from 60 seconds to 30 seconds, enabling researchers to access content more quickly across key areas: Article Galaxy’s Article Detail section, Article Galaxy References, Guest Checkout, and Article Galaxy Scholar.
By cutting wait times in half, this update empowers researchers seeking faster access to essential research materials.
Standardized Citations & Abstracts For Unified Interactions Across Platform
We’ve improved the presentation of citation information across Article Galaxy to ensure abstracts are displayed consistently wherever citations appear, streamlining the user experience.
- Unified Citation Display: Abstracts are now included alongside citations in all sections, including folders (AGR), search results, and shared views.
- Enhanced Usability: Users can view citation details and abstracts at a glance, eliminating extra clicks and navigation.
By avoiding any inconsistencies in citation display and standardizing the format, we assist researchers is building a more predictable, and therefore productive, workflow, whether working within the primary product interface or utilizing our Browser Extension.
Customizable Field Details In Re-Use Rights
We’ve improved the Re-Use Rights interface to provide a more transparent and customizable experience for Platform-paying customers. Users can now configure descriptions for each intended use option, providing immediate clarity on the terms. These details are displayed directly below each option, reducing ambiguity and ensuring better compliance with specific usage terms.
This simplifies decision-making by providing users with clear, accessible re-use information, enhancing both usability and compliance.
Permanently Stored PDFs In My Orders To Support Long-Term Materials Management
PDFs in the My Orders section of Article Galaxy will no longer be automatically deleted after 30 days. Users will now have permanent access to their ordered PDFs, retaining materials for reference and re-use without worrying about time constraints. By removing the time limit, users gain more flexibility and supports better long-term management of research materials.
Extended User Session Duration For Uninterrupted Work
We’ve updated the session length for Article Galaxy User accounts to 72 hours (three days), providing continuous access without the need to log in repeatedly (refreshing the session will reset the timer for another 72 hours).
This enhancement reduces login interruptions, allowing researchers to focus on their work without frequent logins, improving productivity and convenience while maintaining security.

Streamlined Folder Integration For Delivered PDFs
PDFs ordered within a folder now automatically appear in the same folder upon delivery, providing immediate visibility without the need for manual refreshing or searching.
This means researchers can efficiently track fulfilled requests within their project-specific folders while maintaining access to all delivered PDFs in the overall library. By reducing friction and improving organization, this enhancement supports smoother, more intuitive folder management.
Targeted Filtering For Visual Indicators In The Grid
We’ve added filtering functionality to the visual indicators in AGR, including Tags, Notes, and Custom Fields, allowing users to quickly access records with specific attributes. This enhancement improves efficiency, helping users prioritize work and manage information more effectively.
The filtering feature aligns with the familiar “Favorites” function, providing a seamless, intuitive experience that ensures users can easily find and work with the records they need.
Improved Handling Of "Unknown Citations"
Article Galaxy References now displays the PDF filename for uploads missing a DOI, replacing the generic “Unknown Citation” label. This provides immediate context for files, reducing the need to open each one individually, making it easier for users to organize and manage their references effectively.
Integrated Word Add-In For End-To-End Workflow Solutions
To expand the Article Galaxy workflow, we are now highlighting the Word Add-In, a valuable tool for the final stages of research. This integration simplifies citing and referencing directly within Microsoft Word, streamlining the writing process.
