My References is a reimagining of document management within Article Galaxy References, designed to address the evolving needs of today’s researchers. While the familiar My Orders section remains accessible for tracking purposes, this newly introduced feature goes beyond simple order management. It offers a dynamic, dedicated workspace for organizing delivered documents, managing citations, and seamlessly integrating additional resources into research workflows.

By providing a personalized repository, My References empowers researchers to centralize their materials in an intuitive, user-friendly hub—streamlining workflows and fostering greater efficiency in managing the growing complexities of modern research.

Key Features Designed With Researchers In Mind

The My References feature offers a suite of capabilities aimed at tackling common pain points in research management:

1. Streamlined Content Management

New orders automatically populate with attachments, providing seamless access to recently delivered documents. Additionally, the robust search functionality enables users to quickly locate references and documents without hassle.

2. Advanced Organizational Tools

Users can take advantage of advanced organizational tools, including drag-and-drop functionality to easily move items between My References, Personal Folders, Shared Folders, RSS Feeds, and the Company PDF Library. Citation files can be imported in formats like RIS, BibTeX, NBIB, CSV, and Excel for seamless integration of research materials. References can also be exported in bulk across multiple formats, such as PDFs and RIS, simplifying sharing and collaboration.

3. Enhanced Citation & File Support

Within My References, researchers are able to easily edit citations and update metadata to ensure their references are accurate and up to date. The platform also supports the management of diverse file types, including MP3s and Word documents, through the dedicated “Files” section, offering flexibility for various research needs.

4. Integration With PDF Annotations Viewer

This feature makes it possible to open PDFs directly within the platform to annotate and interact with documents in real time. Whether working on a newly delivered article or revisiting a previously added reference, the built-in annotation tools enable seamless, efficient engagement with research materials—all without needing to switch between platforms.

Researchers can also leverage existing folder functionalities within My References. These include the use of Custom Fields for tailored organization, the ability to de-duplicate references to maintain a clean and accurate library, the option to update all citations within a folder for consistency, and tools to locate PDFs efficiently through the Find PDFs feature in the PDF Library.
