Partnership Integrates Reprints Desk’s Article Galaxy Platform with OCLC’s Tipasa Workflow Solution for Simplified Access to Academic Literature

Article Galaxy, Reprints Desk’s award-winning research platform, provides customers with fast, reliable, and personalized access to full-text scientific literature and intelligent data insights. Tipasa, OCLC’s cloud-based interlibrary loan management system, allows academic librarians to manage a high volume of interlibrary loan requests by automating routine borrowing and lending functions so they can quickly deliver items and provide a superior customer experience.

In the Tipasa interface, library staff can compare the cost of purchasing an item from Reprints Desk alongside the costs of acquiring the item from other sources. Staff can place an order for the item with Reprints Desk from within the Tipasa interface, and journal articles are delivered via Article Exchange, OCLC’s document sharing site. Articles can be automatically delivered to patrons with a simple configuration setting.
