Shane Hunt

Director of Marketing

Shane received a Masters Degree in psychology from CSU, Chico, in 2002, and took advantage of his education and experience to co-found Research Solutions. His natural strengths and abilities make him a perfect fit for the Director of Marketing position. He has been fundamental in spreading the word about Research Solutions through attending industry conferences, designing marketing materials and his infectious positive attitude.

Christopher Atwood

Director of Operations

Chris co-founded Research Solutions after also receiving a Masters Degree in psychology from CSU, Chico. His previous management experience segued well into the Director of Operations position, where he continues to implement new ideas and technologies into the document delivery process. His encouraging words and open-door management style are essential to the company’s effectiveness and productivity.

Heather McNary

Operations Manager

Heather was born and raised in Chico, CA. She left for a short period of time to attend Humboldt State University where she earned her BA in Psychology. Shortly after she moved back to Chico, she began working for Research Solutions where her attention to detail and high quality standards made her the perfect choice for a Deliver Supervisor. In December 2009 she was promoted to Operations Manager where she oversees the day to day operations. Heather loves Chico, as Northern California is centrally located between the mountains and the coast line.

Matthew Daugherty

Client Relations

Matthew started at Research Solutions in 2007 as a document delivery specialist, but his previous experience as a Studio Manger at a recording studio made him an ideal match for the Client Relations position. In addition to making sure our clients are satisfied, he works closely with Richard and Shane to help create and implement new sales and marketing campaigns.

Philip Kelly

Lead Software Engineer

Since 2007, Philip has been an integral part of the Research Solutions IT department. After graduating from CSU, Chico, with a BS in computer science, he interned at Chevron’s corporate headquarters in San Ramon, CA. Some of his current duties include Ruby on Rails development, UNIX and Linux server maintenance, Windows server maintenance and MySQL database administration.

Thomas Brooks

Software Engineer/IT Department

Tom joined Research Solutions in the fall of 2008 in the Data Entry department, but his attention to detail made him a good fit as a Document Delivery Specialist; later, his background in web design and strong computer skills were a good match for IT and Software Engineering.

Search Specialist

After graduating high school in 2004, Shea moved to San Diego to pursue his B.A. in English. Originally aspiring to teach, his career ambitions changed when he began working in the San Diego State Library. As of 2010, Shea has been accepted into the Masters program at San Jose State for Library and Information Science, which he is enrolled in part time.

Ruth

Search Specialist

Ruth received her Bachelor's degree in math and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, but has used neither subject in her professional life. She has instead spent time working with databases, providing technical support, and editing for clarity and factual accuracy. In 2009 she joined the Research Solutions team and put her natural curiosity for information to work.

Lauren

Document Delivery Specialist

You could say that Lauren grew up in a library. As the daughter of an elementary school librarian, she was constantly shelving, repairing and checking out books to students in her "free" time. She volunteered at the library at her Jr. High, and then her library career took off when I landed a job in the library at Shasta College. She went into school with the intent of being an elementary school teacher, however the library has been calling her back, and she is currently enrolled in the Masters program at San Jose State University for Library and Information Science. Working at Research Solutions has confirmed her future career choice.

Melanie

Document Delivery Specialist

Melanie joined the Research Solutions team in 2009. She comes with experience in document request and delivery from her previous job as a Court Clerk, as well as a background in customer service.

Heidi

Accounting

After receiving her college degree, Heidi moved to Chico, CA to raise a family. Her children have since grown and her husband has retired as a college professor at California State University, Chico. For the past 4 years Heidi has been an integral part of our accounting department. Currently she is our Accounting Manager and enjoys every moment of her time here at Research Solutions. Heidi is a very valuable asset and helps keep our finances flowing.

Stacey

Search Specialist

Stacey joined the Research Solutions team in 2007 as a Research Specialist. Over the past few years her intelligence and dedication to urgency and accuracy in locating the required documents has made her a precise match. Her excellent customer service skills and commitment to the company and the clients has been a tremendous asset. Stacey grew up in the Sierra Foothills of California and spent most of her life there. She decided to move to the North Valley five years ago. She moved to Chico to be closer to her younger brother (who came for college and never left), and her mom. She loves living in Chico with her family. Stacey has made a wonderful home there with her husband Bob and their golden retriever Jasmine.
